Metak Distributing Ltd specializes in arms and ammunition distribution, and their subsidary company Vatra Services deals in decommissioning. I worked with the owner of the company to develop a logo that not only resonates with the target audience, but stands out among a sea of defensive logos.
I hand made the METAK typeface to look like something that could be machine engraved onto the barrel or handle of a gun, per the owners requirement. The /// mark pulls double duty as both a representation of the letter 'M' as well as simulating the grip slide of a pistol.
The Vatra Services logo was developed at a later date, and needed to stand on it's own, while still feeling like part of the Metak family. I kept the typeface similar, and created the 3 flame marks to represent the process of destroying ammunition, while holding on to the familiarity of Metak's /// mark.
