Dave Mac Graphics - 2023 Annual Report

As part of my regular duties at Rocky View County, I laid out the County’s 2023 Annual Report, a 64-page publication summarizing the County’s achievements, community highlights, and financial results. I was responsible for designing the cover and the full front half of the book, using content supplied by the Communications & Engagement team and following the County brand guidelines.

Working in Adobe InDesign, with supporting graphics created and edited in Illustrator and Photoshop, I refreshed the visual style from previous years, updating the cover, modernizing interior layouts, and developing custom charts, tables, and supporting imagery. I sourced and edited all photos, ensuring they aligned with the accompanying content. The financial audit, provided by a third-party firm, was appended without changes.

Key challenges included a tight three-week timeline, balancing this project alongside my regular design duties, and finding appropriate support imagery. The final report was approved at the Executive level, published online as a downloadable PDF, and printed for distribution at County Hall.
