Rocky View County deploys mobile “Chuck Wagon” trailers to provide recycling and hazardous household waste drop-off services in rural areas. During my time working for the County, I worked with the Waste & Recycling department to brand these trailers, ensuring they were highly visible, on-brand, and aligned with the County’s Waste & Recycling sub-brand.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I created scalable vector artwork, then mocked it up in Photoshop over photos of each trailer to account for unique features such as doors, wheel wells, and windows/openings. Each trailer required adjustments to maintain consistent branding while fitting its specific dimensions. The finalized artwork was reviewed and prepared for print by DataCM, and I coordinated the installation schedule between them and Waste & Recycling staff.
Key challenges included working around the different sizes and shapes of trailers while keeping a unified look, and ensuring all elements were scaled accurately for installation. The final trailers were well-received, presenting a sleek, professional appearance, improving public awareness, and increasing usage of the drop-off services.
