Team Wipf, representing Team Canada at the 2025 World Junior Curling Championship, needed a simple, versatile logo for their jackets, equipment, and social media. Designing for the athletes, I created a clean TW monogram crowned with a maple leaf to reflect their Canadian identity, inspired by classic monogram examples the team provided.
After sketching a range of ideas, I developed three refined concepts, and the team immediately selected one with minimal revisions, primarily a colour adjustment to ensure strong contrast on black backgrounds. The final logo was created in Adobe Illustrator and delivered in multiple formats for print and digital use.
Key challenges included achieving the bold, athletic style they admired (such as the Tiger Woods monogram) without infringing on existing marks, integrating the maple leaf naturally, and ensuring legibility at small sizes. The finished logo was enthusiastically received by the team and earned positive feedback from their fans online.
