Epic Stitching & Handmade Design was an Etsy shop specializing in handmade fibre jewellery. I worked with the owner to develop a logo, business cards, and social media banners that reflected both the handmade nature of her work and a clean, semi-modern aesthetic. With no existing branding to follow, I created a simple monogram icon that combined a lowercase “e” and uppercase “S” into a single thread-like form, paired with a classic serif wordmark for “Epic Stitching.” A small, understated sans serif line reading “& handmade design” supported the primary name without competing for attention, reinforcing the handcrafted nature of the products.
The logo and cards were created in Adobe Illustrator, with supporting photography edited in Photoshop. The same sans serif typeface used in the logo system became the body copy font for care instructions, which were added to the reverse side of the business cards. This decision served a dual purpose: reducing the need for additional printed materials while ensuring every product left with both care information and store branding. Photos of the jewellery were tightly cropped and colour corrected to work within the compact format of the card while still showcasing the detail of the work.
I worked closely with the owner through sketches and concept development to refine the visual direction. Because of her own artistic background, the process was collaborative and efficient, with clear feedback at each stage. The final branding was used consistently across her Etsy storefront and social media platforms for nearly ten years, until the business closed during the COVID pandemic.
