Rainmakers Business Solutions hired me to create a one-third page, double-sided flyer they could hand out at conferences, business events, and client meetings. The goal was to translate their website’s key messaging into a compact, skimmable physical format that highlighted their training services and emphasized the opportunity for businesses to access government job-grant funding. Using their brand colours, provided logo, and stock imagery consistent with their existing marketing, I recreated the look and feel of their online presence in a way that worked effectively as a printed leave-behind.
The flyer was designed in Adobe Illustrator and deliberately built without bleeds so it could be printed economically on standard letter-sized paper and trimmed in-house. The main challenge was adapting the breadth of their website content into a concise format that remained readable, visually balanced, and aligned with their brand. Particular care was taken to give visual prominence to the grant-funding message, ensuring that it stood out without overwhelming the rest of the content.
I worked directly with the business owner through regular email communication, providing proofs and refining the layout based on her feedback to ensure accuracy and satisfaction with the final piece. The completed flyer became a practical and portable tool for Rainmakers, used at tradeshows, networking events, and client interactions to quickly communicate their services and support their outreach efforts.
